I find that I can waste hours on a photo, obsessing over minor details at 200%. My 2024 resolution is to cut that out of my post-processing. |

Michael, this was a tough image because the bird and moth are brilliantly sharp, but the distractions around it are almost impossible to eliminate. I even took it into LRC myself and tried every trick I knew there and couldn't get rid of that big green leaf in the front. Still, it's a great capture of a very difficult bird. |

Cindy, I envy your trips. That was very nice post-processing of a difficult image dealing with sky, snow, and iceberg. They all look great. Nice capture of the eye and tail on the lead Gentoo. |

Susan, it looks like you had a challenging day shooting. There was lots of haze and smoke. Tough to get a clear image or salvage colors, but it gave you something solid to work on your post-processing skills with. Keep at it. You're showing improvement every month. |

I like this one a lot, David. It's a most unusual pattern, and the light playing on the colors makes it special. |

Hi Larry: Love the sandpiper with the bug. It's great capture with the platypus. I have one but rarely get to use it. Today must be my day to mess around with other people's photos. I took the liberty of removing the reed distraction, so the concentration is on the beak with the bug. I also applied some generative Ai in PS to expand the photo as you suggested. |

Hi Richard, I'm very envious. I have been trying to capture a red fox in its winter coat my entire life and have yet to do so. I love your fox image. I just don't like all the distractions around it. I took the liberty of playing with it in LRC. I removed the branches and worked a little with the new Lens Blur feature to blur the surroundings and sharpen the fox. I also lightened the eyes just a bit. |
