Sorry, Frank, this image just doesn't work for me at all. It misses the beautiful light available in a moving sunset, and there is nothing of interest in the scene. |

David, I love this image. Black and white is definitely the way to go. I agree about the leaves in the upper left as a bit distracting. This would make a great image printed large and hanging on a gallery wall. |

I have looked for swallow-tailed kites for years. Nothing yet.
I'm impressed that you captured these shots with a monopod in a boat. I've always found (even with my tremor) that handholding from a boat at higher shutter speeds gives me more keepers. A monopod is too restrictive, especially for swirling birds.
You did a great job getting sharp images. I also recommend a crop inward 25% from the left to give the image a more dynamic swirl. |
