Cropping suggestions are great.
That is not an Unsharp hair, it's a blade of grass, but I should have cloned it out. |

You did a great job, Terry! Still-life photos can be tricky but you had it well in hand. You did a masterful job handling the reflection and the background. Well done! |

Difficult shot, nicely executed! Very hard to get the gulls to stand still while you are slowing down the waves with your shutter speed. Nice day at the ocean. ;-) |

Hi Kathleen:
I love the bird and its beautiful color! It's a great, isolating backdrop too. For me, I would have left the green leaves in for some color variety, but that's just my taste.
Be careful with the 13Pro Max Noise Reduction process because it will cause loss of detail if overdone, especially with feathers. |

Great composition with beautiful color. I might have lightened the flowers slightly in LRC with an adjustment mask to make them stand out a bit more from the background. |

The paradox of the people in the motorized canoe paddling towards the modern sleek casino tells the whole story. Well done. I think a faster shutter speed would have made for a sharper image since you were on a moving vessel. |

Interesting shot, Joan. Especially from that original. When I first looked at it from the bottom up, I thought I was back in the Mekong - then saw the recreational shelter. Nice presentation in B&W. |

Thanks, Michael. I had a Z 14-24 f/2.8S in my bag but there were too many branches from this side of the falls and no angle to include the whole waterfall. |

From this angle, I did have very limited space but wanted this shot to project the raw power of the water. I did go downstream later and shoot back up into the falls to capture the whole height through the mist and trees. |

David - Absolutely love the new crop (hated the old). I can see the multitude of galaxies and worlds and interstellar space here. It allows the imagination to run free. |

Larry -
A masterful blending of the colors and light. The response you got from your fellow judges is why I don't enter photos in international competitions. Here you have a great photo that is technically sharp and not overdone. The eyes, beak, feathers, and toes, while not in the main light, are still very sharp. Whether the bird is flying to the right or left only matters to the photographer who decides what type of impact he or she is trying to make with the photo. No one has the right to launch a "tirade" telling the creator they are "wrong." That is BS.
I do appreciate the critiques I receive from fellow photographers, especially from instructors like yourself. This is how I improve my craft. I am studying and learning every day when I'm not shooting or processing. And yet, there is so much more to learn. This is what keeps me mentally engaged and alive. |

Agree with all that was said before but it is a fun shot to contemplate. A Z9 might have gotten it. |

Jason - Great capture! I know what it's like to scramble for a shot like this, and you got it. You captured his eyes so beautifully, and they are haunting. The coyote has a beautiful coat. That's why I like to shoot mammals in fall and winter. The only thing I might have done is used a mask in LCR to lighten the coat slightly overall to bring up the face and eyes. There is a way to do that more precisely in PS, but it takes too long. |
