16 Jan 22 Comment Good ideas on the cropping. I will apply on my otter images. Jan 20th
16 Jan 22 Reply Orange item is a crab that the otter is systematically eating. Jan 8th
16 Jan 22 Reply Depending on where you live, bird photography can be very fun. It's great to practice with large birds like vultures, gulls, and pelicans. Then move on to eagles, hawks, and falcons before tackling chickadees, swifts, and swallows. Those little birds elude me to this day. Best to get them in their nesting areas in the spring. Jan 7th
16 Jan 22 Comment This is a beautiful portrait, Terry. Well done!

16 Jan 22 Comment Hi Kathleen: I love the 13 Pro Max and it's my pocket camera at all times. Capable of phenomenal images. I think you did turn a sow's ear into a silk purse here but I think you let the saturation and vibrance sliders get away from you a bit. The greens, blues, and reds are overdone for my taste making a cute little monkey into a clown. If you backed those off somewhat, you would have a great image. Jan 7th
16 Jan 22 Comment Agree with Walter. Very nice cropping job. It really focused the viewers' attention. Do you use Lightroom Classic at all? Using the "Enhance" feature in LRC would allow you to double the image size without degradation so when you crop it would bring up the details more. Jan 7th
16 Jan 22 Comment Interesting shot of a turkey vulture from above. Don't normally see them in a seaside setting as they normally occupy inland hills and valleys. Jan 7th
16 Jan 22 Comment Very nice capture of an interesting display. Putting a thin white trim defines the subjects nicely. Jan 4th

67 Jan 22 Comment Thanks all for the tips. I went back and fixed it and will be more attentive in the future; especially with the new LRC, PS and Topaz Ai tools. ;-) Jan 19th
67 Jan 22 Reply I didn't hear about that. It sickens me. What is it about people that need to destroy beautiful things? I know it is naive and rhetorical, but why can't all people just enjoy the beauty and let it be? Jan 8th
67 Jan 22 Reply Good point. I'll have to review my other images to see if I did that. Jan 7th
67 Jan 22 Comment Hi Michael: That is a weirdly unique location that I would not want to wander through at night. I might try to see what darkening the sky might do. If that doesn't add to the tone of the image, I would leave it alone. Congratulations on finding and photographing an out-of-the-ordinary site. Jan 7th
67 Jan 22 Comment Larry took the suggestions right out of my keyboard! I love this photo. I had to keep coming back to it to figure out why. Those three trees standing in the vastness of this lake just grab me. There is a solitary tree in Lake Wanaka in New Zealand that all the photo tours make sure to include in their itineraries. I think you have discovered a better location much closer to your home. That would be a great place to camp to watch the scene change in different light and cloud formations. Well done! Jan 7th
67 Jan 22 Reply Especially today with all the Ai programs available. The only problem that creates is going through thousands of old photos to rework. At least I'm never without something to do! 🤣 Jan 7th
67 Jan 22 Comment Definitely a keeper. A very nice job of creating a colorful and interesting picture from a dull and drab image. Jan 4th
67 Jan 22 Comment Beautiful photo Jason. Thanks for your honesty regarding the sky replacement. I think it fits here too, given the fires in the west this year. It would have been really great if you could have captured a hint of the sky color in the smooth water. Jan 4th
67 Jan 22 Comment Hi Larry: Like the photo a lot because it captured both the creaminess of the waterfall with the 1-sec exposure and the reflection. I got a Platypod myself recently but haven't had a chance to use it because I've been doing mostly wildlife. I think you've demonstrated how versatile it will be for getting those types of low shots.
