I like Jose's idea of rearranging the squares.. It now is more clear that you intended this to be a tic tac toe game.. ;) Very well seen.. Nice image! |

I actually like the original colors a bit better, as the subject is salt, which in my mind is normally white.. ;) The image probably just needs a bit more contrast.. I find the cones to the left and right of the image quite close to the border, maybe you can try some context fill to get a little bit more space there, and of course correct the horizon as Bob noticed. A very nice subject though, and I like the reflections in the water as well. |

Commenting on the second version, which is better although the crop is just a bit too much at the bottom (agreeing with Kirsti and Jose). Maybe you can give the same space approx as the space from the top of the image to the opening ceiling at the top. Very nice image with geometry and even a sunstar in the metal railing.. well done. |

I agree with Bob on cropping the image from below to get away with the distractions from the sun light on the pavement. Also about toning down the highlights.. Not sure about the BW.. In the beginning I did not really see the moss, maybe in the color version it is more obvious.. but could also be more distracting.. I like the focal point at the end (being the mansion). |

A very nice image with a strong story.. I like the composition and the image as a whole. Agree though with the small improvements mentioned in the other comments. For the rest, just a great image! |
