The way the man is sitting there, it looks like the perfect pose begging to be photographed. To turn it into more than a snapshot, it takes only a little darkening and lightening of certain areas. I made the hands stand out by brightening them. I made little extraneous areas that were too bright disappear. Now I have a photo of hands playing the guitar. The background environment doesn't compete. I do this to most of my photos. I often use a brush on a mask in Photoshop Raw Filter, but you can do the same thing in LR. The goal is to make what's important to be easily visible and to make what's unnecessary to disappear into darkness or nothingness (like the bright area at bottom right). And just because his body was in the shade doesn't mean your photo has to be that dark. So, I brightened its overall exposure. |

What attracted my attention first was the unique camera angle and its effect on your daughter's body. Another appealing aspect to your photo is the way her feet are shown at a cute, child-like angle. Your f-stop 5.6 makes the little yellow flower stand out. I think of dexterity as doing something with movement. Here she is holding the flower with nothing that appears to require any special dexterity. |

This composition says it all. I see his hands. I see what they produce. I see how he is dressed. I see him doing his work. No distractions for me. Lovely. I do admire all your hand photos from the first time I saw one. None of them looks like a snapshot. |

The most important element of this photo is the hands. Otherwise, boom, no balancing! Even the lovely bright red outfit didn't deter me from thinking about the job those hands are doing. The background is intriguing. Looks like the man is hanging off a curb. that would make this pose even more impressive. The girls red outfit is pretty and reminds she is just a little girl doing a fantastic balancing job. |

What a great capture of those hands! I noticed the hair on his arms most of all! I like the way the fingers are positioned. I get a feeling he is trying hard to do an excellent job. A very interesting photo. I had never thought of being able to photograph in a guitar-making workshop. |

Imagine being so dexterous without any fingers! We humans are so lucky to have fingers to pick up our food! Very nice job of capturing the bird and the feeder. The busy background competes. I think a simple darkening of all the background would make the main subject stand out. And if you didn't want to bother with brushing over all those bright spots, a simple dark vignette would be a quick way to enhance the image. |

The time it takes is simply the time to slowly print each letter. So not very long with this specific lettering style. But she does dip the pen in ink several times. |
