I think this vignette style works for this image. The transition edge could be softened if you prefer. Sometimes I paint in my own vignette instead of using the program's vignette feature. I happen to like the fact the horizontal table line is gone. |

The movement of going back and forth like a waving flag seems appropriate for a waving set of flags. Makes more sense than the vertical look that tree-trunk images have. The addition of the blue "sky" makes good visual sense here. Makes for a pleasant composition. I agree with you that this isn't my favorite technique. I'd like this image better if the most central area of the center flag was sharp. In my old age, a lot of photos have this hazy look but are actually sharp! |

You've captured the "windy" look. I agree with you that there is just enough movement without looking just plain blurry. When I was experimenting with movement and exposure time, I got mostly blurry! I see how this ICM is going to take a long time to figure out! As for the composition, I like the big hill being the main subject with the ocean in the background. I would've cloned over the light sand area that is rather blank with more beach so the bright area didn't take my eye off the sharper grasses. |

Your trees stand out so well. Maybe thanks to the snow that camouflaged all the usual busy-ness in a forest scene. You certainly achieved your goal. Usually, these ICM pics are quite blurry, but your image is exceptionally nice in that I am able to detect and feel the details of the trees. I think the ICM effect might be lost if you included the tops of the trees. I like the slant of the ground the trees are on. It makes for a more interesting image for me. |

The colors of your subject matter are what I like best. The silvery white compliments the tall green stems. This is also my first time trying ICM. I think vertical subjects might work the best? Isn't it interesting that the real subject matter can turn into something else, like a garage door to a waterfall. Absolutely amazing! I think we're all going to have a fun time experimenting with this from now on. |

I did use a slight vignette! Maybe I made it too subtle! I put one on almost every photo I edit. |

The texture is because these are silk flowers. |
