You raise a point I've never thought of. I have been to re-enactments. For the most part, they are very clean and non-bloody, dirty, or muddy. This pristine white glove is definitely a stark reminder of what happens once the battle begins. |

What a handsome photo of the General's glove! I can feel his smile, maybe because of the firm grip in that well-cared-for glove. Well lit to show off the glove. I like the way the buttons on the uniform yell "fancy military uniform"! I don't find them distracting at all. This is a wonderful example of a tight composition that has included everything important and therefore reminds people we don't have to include everything we see in person when photographing. You've presented exactly what your title proclaims. Your image fits well into our assignment, where we are allowed to interpret the topic. |

My hands have been through a lot of Photoshop! Starting with version 4 in the 1990s. |

Your hands close-up makes me almost feel the knife's blade coming close to cutting him. A nice, realistic image. I like that I can see his hand muscles. The lighting is just right. I can feel him actually working and putting in the strong effort! The horizontal line of his hands, corn, and knife go across the center of the image and hold my eye while I look left to right and back again to take it all in. The colors are great! It's interesting to see the full view of the man, too. Thanks for including that. It helps us feel we were in Argentina, too! |

I find this image intriguing! The car's key fob catches my eye and makes me wonder why he's holding it behind his back. This could be the title cover of a mystery book! I like the way you used the assignment of hands to include other objects, like the key fob and his jacket with a few of its details. The overall even lighting makes this an easy photo to look at and ponder. |

Even without your heart-warming descriptive story, this photo tells its story instantly and dramatically. I think the table's vertical line and the silverware's horizontal line are a great foil for her crooked fingers. I love the way her arms and wrists curve into the scene. I think her hands are so perfectly dominant in the scene also because they are the lightest part of the picture. This is a beautiful rendition of something that so many people don't like to have when they get older. |

This cropped view reminds me of sand dunes! I thought of using this image as my submission but decided it was too gross! |

Thank you for visiting our Group 12 and leaving a comment. I'm returning the favor! My comment about your photo is that the black and white look gives me one large view of the Grand Canyon and makes me appreciate its vastness. If in color, I would've started looking at various details here and there and missed the grand feeling of the overall scene. |
