I hadn't thought of this as "rim lighting." Yes, a good thing. Something to look for as an element in our photos. |

The golf cart does look like it isn't exceeding the speed limit. It is setting its own pace. So good to include the speed limit sign to help tell the story. I didn't realize the person in the golf cart was walking a dog. I thought that shape was something built into the sidewalk. I wondered what it was. Now I see the leash! |

So appropriate to put your photos into the roll-of-film frames! I've never heard of an angle grinder, but you made it look like a great tool for creating interesting photos. The sparks are competing for my attention with the busy and bright background. I like Gavin's idea of doing this photoshoot when there's no light coming through the visible window. I experimented with darkening everything except the sparks to see if I could make the sparks more of the center of attention. I think these sparks would be a fun project to keep doing over and over. Lots of potential for lots of interesting images! |

I can't stop looking at the shapes! The squirrel's back. His ears! The fence. The contrasty lighting brings them all out so well. And the soft background makes the squirrel and fence stand out even better. This assigned subject turned out a unique image that I never would've thought of taking on purpose. And it tells a story that I keep thinking about! Good choice of images to share with us this month. |
