Thanks for the photo tip. I'll add the Nikon website to my list of good resources. |

Wow, I don't know how all those circles got created, but they sure are pretty! Makes for a unique image. For me, the exposure is rather gloomy. I'd like it brighter even if the day was dull in person. Does anyone know how to make those bokeh kind of circles on purpose? |

I see plenty of texture details all over the picture, on the starfish as well as its environment. Cropping to just the starfish might be a better composition for the starfish, but it would eliminate all the environment's texture and patterns. I think the starfish is underexposed. In my edit, I tried to brighten the starfish and darken the background. |

Bright whitish areas attract the eye away from the main subject. That's why the upper left is still distracting. Plus, the main subject of the starfish is underexposed. When I worked on this image, it did end up more colorful, too, but I could probably brighten the starfish without doing that. |

Yes, for sure, you captured copiously patterned clouds! It pays to be attentive and check the skies often. Good for you! I wouldn't change a thing...although I probably would have taken various shots as the minutes ticked by. I am enjoying the view! |

Today is Valentine's Day, and that's why I cropped your photo to point out the relationship between those 2 bottom leaves...ha ha...but I do like how you brought out the textures. They are very obvious with the good overall lighting. |

The play of lights and shadows adds to the flower's own patterns of black spots. I can't wait for the flowers of spring this year! Nice to be reminded. You know how gloomy it has been here in Overland Park! Not a "park" at all! I edited your photo to emphasize the theme of patterns, by removing the white areas on the greenery. |

I didn't see those spots until you mentioned them...but I had to use a magnifying glass! Probably birds. The camera doesn't use interchangeable lenses, so probably not dust on the sensor. |

Actually, not one person could figure out why I wasn't WITH the group up by the bridge! I think the overall goal was to get a photo of just the bridge lit up at night. Nobody seemed to realize the potential of taking photos before dusk or night! I was surprised at them missing some photo opportunities and spending all that time and effort to get just that one iconic shot at night. |

See my camera club people standing close together up near the bridge? I never even shot from their location. Not a place I would choose! |
