Yes, I like your use of the words "not always predictable"! That's the fun of many Topaz filters. |

I scan a lot of things (objects). The practice is leftover from the days of doing photograms. I used figurines, leaves, flowers, paper clips, thread, etc., etc. As long as the image is made with light, it is considered photography, right?! |

Red hair and matching clothes! I like it. I think it's a stunning photo. The woman stands out beautifully against the blurred greenery. It looks to me as if she is taking a photo of the pink flowers. I bet she would like a copy of this photo. I would if I were her! I wouldn't crop out any of the background. I like the way she is sort of hiding in the flower bed. A portrait with beautiful color and lighting! |

Good idea for a car to blur the background with the zoom effect. My eye keeps going to the static concrete (asphalt?) pavement, and so I like Kerstin's choice of zooming the entire background. Either way, it is an "effect" so it might as well be totally around the car! Thanks for the nice RED car for our assigned subject. It is nice and sharp. I think I see your reflection in the chrome fender! |

I agree with everyone's comments! Very well done for our subject. The reddish part of the sky fills up the majority of the image. The original image is also great to look at. |

I think this is a beautiful set-up. The roses show up beautifully. I think the areas with darkness set it off. The window reflections bother me because there are so many of them. I fiddled with your image and reduced them. I also add stems to all 3 flowers, but in this little image they don't show up. And I added lots more space all around with the clone tool (rubber stamp).

I love your red ornament with the reindeer! Christmas trees give us many opportunities to take interesting and memorable photos. I wanted to see the reindeer better, so I tried the Auto exposure in Lightroom and then brightened the reds, yellows, and oranges in the color sliders. Wish this was MY tree! Beautiful! |

You even found your "something red" sitting on a RED shelf! I also like the touches of green color in various parts of the image. I didn't specify Christmas colors, but this is a great red and green picture! I often try the auto button in Lightroom or Photoshop RAW filter to see what happens, and half the time it brightens my images when I didn't realize they needed it. (The other half of the time, it darkens my image!) Very interesting idea about taking a photo at a specific time...otherwise I'd wonder why you had your big camera with you at a diner! |
