All the "curved" elements make this shot even more special than the superb looking-down view. Did you have to use a high shutter speed to capture such a sharp shot? I'm glad you were able to look down and out of the hot air balloon you were riding in. And thanks to the pilot for flying over another balloon! |

Hostas are great photo subjects. I like the patterns in close-ups of a leaf, too! Have fun next year when you see them...take a leaf off and bring it indoors where you can do a close-up tabletop with no wind blowing! |

It is highly unusual for me to see a bird at my own eye level!!! It was in a bush rather than a tree! I remember where it was, so someday I'll go back there to the park and see what I can find... |

Yes, your editing has put more emphasis on the bird. Thanks. |

I have never thought of fading a stoke (although I use that feature for other things). I bet changing the blending mode would also alter its looks. I'll play with it and see what happens. Thanks! |

I like Kerstin's crop because now the blank part of the sidewalk/street isn't such a focal point and distraction for me. |

You are brave to do street photography. I always feel I've gotten caught and then don't take the photo! I enjoy looking at the variety of people and activities you captured. Did you shoot on manual or did you choose that fast shutter speed and shoot in shutter priority? The motorcyclist is aimed perfectly at the camera! I brightened the lady in the sort of center of the picture because the scene looked less dark to me that way. Also cropped off the white tent tops at the top because the whiteness bothered me but yet I miss seeing them as a descriptive part of the market scene. |

How interesting that this is such a long exposure! I wouldn't have thought to do that at dusk. I like the calm feeling and serene colors. I think the amount of sky sets off the tree silhouette well. If this were my photo, I would edit the sky and sun to be more vibrant although I know less realistic. It seems that photographers nowadays enhance their colors a little on the unrealistic side! I don't like the untruth but I like the look! I tried not to go overboard in my edited example. Did it look sort of like this in person? |

The feeling of family is so evident...and adorable. I like the natural environment, especially the 2 twigs on the right that resemble 2 more ducks joining the adventure! I like the flat lighting because I can see the ducks so well. Do you keep your camera by the window so you can catch such scenes out your window? I would! |

I like the soft, dreamy look you have created with your special background and other techniques. I did notice the big white flower first but also simultaneously noticed the bokeh circles, lavendar flower, and pretty lace vase. The entire photo is interesting to look at as a whole and also for each of its elements. If this was my photo, I'd darken the sliver of a light bokeh circle at the top right because I find myself looking at it and distracting me. Or I might just crop a tiny bit off the top to eliminate it and bring the white flower up a little bit in the composition. |

This looks like a successful photo shoot! You have made it look easy to find a flower and photograph it without distractions. I like the way my eye goes straight to your desired center of interest but still shows the environment. Thanks for sharing your homemade tripod of elbows-on-knees. |
