I like the way this elephant photo tells a story. It shows your patience in waiting in the hide and then taking the photo at the right moment. My eye is enjoying going from elephant to elephant to elephant. I don't see anything but trees in the background and can't find Mt. Kilimanjaro. If this were my photo, I might push the Shadows slider over just a little bit to show a little more how to elephants looked. |

Excellent choice of subject matter because the horse has authentic gray spots on him/her. You captured the motion so well that the horse appears to have all four legs off the ground. I don't know if you cropped, but the horse looks like he/she is heading into the space on the right. It feels good and natural to me. It was interesting that you chose to desaturate what is behind the horse, and I do feel that the horse is the center of attention without distracting background. I can't think of anything different I would do to the image if it were mine. |

It was helpful to know the reason the one bird has a stick in its mouth! I enjoyed seeing these birds in such good sharpness and detail. Your use of the long lens made it possible for me to see these birds up close when I really could never actually see them up close! One suggestion is to make the sky less bland, and so I put it in Photoshop and lowered the Highlight a lot. I got a color cast to the grayish feathers, and so I had to desaturate the Oranges. Here's how it turned out. Maybe the sky is now distracting? |

I like the silhouette style. The image is sharp all over, and I enjoy looking at the various subjects within it because of the sharpness. The foreground of pool, the middle ground of the person and trees, and the background way in the distance give me a good sense of depth to the scene. I wonder if you asked the waiter to stand still?!!! because he's right in the right spot! |

I'm impressed by how you used a black mat board to provide a dark background to show off the smoke swirls. I find the design of the swirls curiously appealing. I keep looking at the picture by going from one y swirl to another. This is the kind of image that would be perfect for a waiting room where people could sit and ponder for a long time and still enjoy it. I can't think of any improvement suggestion! Thanks for the description of how you did it. |

I get a nice big impact from the immensity of the brick wall of the building. I think this is a good use of the wide 24mm lens. The lighting is intriguing because I don't know if the image is dark looking because it is early or late in the day, due to a vignette, or an overcast day. I like the way the windows are lit up because it makes them stand out. For me, the detail on the far right of the photo is superfluous. |
