I agree with the concept of the dark clouds at the upper right corner balancing the balloon. In fact, that angled dark area along with the lower left corner dark area frames the main subject area which is the balloon and the little puffy clouds in the center. The slight diagonal appearance of those opposite corners helps with the framing concept. My eye went directly to that authentic-looking balloon when I first saw the image. Great composition and lighting, IMOHO!!! |

Thanks, Barbara, for mentioning the technique of moving the camera during the exposure, especially for moving it just near the end. I'm going to try that on my next flowers! |

I never thought of fading a stroke. I'll have to try that! |

You found a whimsical subject in real life! The image has a nice clear look about it, almost like you added a filter of some kind. Colors have a painterly look. It looks great on my monitor. Our Renaissance festival is held in a forested area, so my photos have no chance of looking so bright and cheerful as yours! |

I think you found good photos to use in combination to create an imaginative image where the train is unlikely to be there in reality like that. Giving the train a green color cast was a good idea. |

Although I don't understand the role of the flash, I see an interesting chess setup. The object in the middle is unknown to me, but it does look like it's coming and going. |

The blurred motion juxtaposed with still flowers is a dreamy, whimsical effect. The top half of the photo is the still flower section. I thought the blurry part was more fanciful, and so I've tried cropping your image to the attached photo. I was trying to eliminate the plain areas, too. I left one clear daisy at the upper left. Sure wish I had such a large area of daisies near me! They are lovely. |

I feel a sense of mystery as well as fanciful imagination. It is opposite from a light-hearted whimsy. It is deep and dark. Except the bright red robes which add to the strangeness of the scene. Very good exposure for a 32 seconds! I had to look up Edgar Wallace movies to learn about his mysteries. |

Yes, that log is full of fantasy! I agree that it looks like a whimsical groundhog! I think that adding the text in the text balloon is a great addition. The face elements you chose are also comical. Makes me laugh! |

Oh, and then as an afterthought, I changed the hue of the entire image! |
