Hey, everybody, did you click once on the photo and see it much larger? When I did that, I could see the antique effect very clearly. It is great! |

Wow, Kerstin, you created a really interesting and fun picture! I hadn't even noticed the flowers in the original, and now they are the center of attention! Your version is free of clutter. Your photo puts a big emphasis on the gravel lawn. |

Yes, the centered one looks like the little hamburger patty in the midst of a bunch of big steaks! |

You have a beautiful blue image! The sameness of the color is partly what makes your photo so engaging. Your most interesting waterfall is running over rocks without foliage which usually makes waterfall photos with green in them. I think I'd rather see the water more like water, because the dreamy look reminds me of a foggy cloud. I don't really get the feeling of the water entering from the left and flowing over rocks. |

This is amazing! What a lovely work of art! Your stone sculpture looks like it is sitting on a table with that beautiful background as its fabric backdrop. The touch of a shadow beneath it is perfect. Whatever lighting you used is nice and soft and lighting up the top and emphasizing the flower. The vertical composition is slightly off center which adds to the interest. Great job! |

Lots and lots of very old rocks. I like seeing the variety. There are plenty of things to look at and study in your image: pavement, building, and wall. I think the image doesn't look too static because of several diagonal compositional elements in the composition. Like the two pots, the base of the building, and the way the ground rocks are arranged. This scene is perfect for this month's assignment. |

Wow, a lawn made up entirely of rocks! Because you said it was taken in Sun City, I get the feeling that it is a really hot day! The rocks comprise almost half of the photo. To make them more emphasized as the point of the picture, see my cropped version. I also added a touch of yellow in the temperature color area to warm it up. |

Those slot canyons are a photographer's paradise and challenge. You did well without a tripod. I understand that it is a tight space down there. Your chosen composition shows us a variety of shapes. Since there is no other object to give us a sense of scale, about how many feet from top to bottom would you guess that we are looking at? Did you use a wide angle lens?
It's so interesting to hear about your non-photographic experience there where your guide played his flute. How amazing! |

Those rocks look like the kind I tripped on last year! When I hold my hand over the top third of the photo, I see the sharp, jagged edges stand out much better. I think the top third containing the bright-colored area is superfluous. |
