Well, the picture is sleep-related! That's the best I could do! Tough subject! It was time for my granddaughter to go to sleep. When she gets in bed, the dog jumps up right there and goes to sleep with her. |

Yes, you're right, same dog! The only one in the family. It belongs to my daughter and her family where I go to visit and babysit...just 6 miles from me. You'll probably see one or more of them in future photos! |

Duke is awesome! If you want to straighten the covers, you tell him to jump off for a minute, and he does! Then he jumps back on! I like your cropping idea. I'll try taking his photo with my real camera instead of the phone, and then I'll have more pixels to work with! His dark fur is always a challenge. I did brighten the shadows of his fur, because otherwise all you see is a dark blob! |

I know exactly what you mean. I've run across the same problem and desire. You didn't overdo it. You just made the scene look and feel pretty. |

Although he looks wide awake to me, your photo shows he is a great specimen of a tortoise. He is nice and sharp. I bet there are lots of good photo ops at this zoo. I looked up its website of http://www.wildlifeworld.com/. I worked on your photo to try to blur all around him to make him stand out more. I also cloned away some of the bright details. |

You wake up to a lot to do! I like the angle you shot from. I think every shot I have of my own monitor is straight on! It was very clever of you to think of a "sleeping" computer for this month's assignment! |

Thanks for your "sleep" photo of a real person! I was trying to figure out how I could take such a photo but couldn't do it! I brightened your photo in Photoshop and darkened the area around her to try to make her stand out from the background. If the photo was mine, I would clone away the yellow and the purple areas. |

It's interesting to see a lion asleep in the middle of the road. I assume he's on a vehicle road. I can't tell for sure if his eyes are open or closed. I tried to edit him so that his face was more prominent but couldn't do it. It seems that animals like to face away from the sun! boo hoo for us photographers! |

I had forgotten about plants "sleeping" for the winter, but they sure do. Nice composition for the tree with the yellowish grassy area and the fence at a diagonal. I like the amount of pretty blue sky in your edited version. |

Wonderful that you found a rabbit with its eyes closed right in your own backyard! The color is gorgeous, and it's especially appealing with the pretty green of the blurred out background. I like the way the sharp focus is on its face and how the sharpness has fallen off on its arm so as to make that arm not distracting.
Is the rabbit snoring in its sleep? (its mouth is open, and I'm wondering what pose it represents!) |
