Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
34 Nov 21 Reply Thanks Brian. Appreciate your comments. Nov 25th
34 Nov 21 Reply Hahahaha, your judges must see themselves in those images then. Such conventions are fine for novices taking baby steps starting out, but really?

Anyway, the image took a Gold in my club comp. So not a recommendation here.

34 Nov 21 Reply Got it! (And I forgot to tell you how much I loved your colour harmonies.) Nov 15th
34 Nov 21 Comment I prefer Image 2. I think your final is too busy. My eyes wandered aimlessly, trying to find the story. The second image has less distraction, and the gnome band playing in the fungi garden stands out clearly and is lovely. Nov 15th
34 Nov 21 Comment Yep, it no longer a photograph. Now it is ART! Love your outcome. Nov 15th
34 Nov 21 Comment You've turned an ordinary shot into an image worth enlarging for a very large building foyer. Well done. Nov 15th
34 Nov 21 Comment Thanks for the "how to". I gave it a go, and my attempts lacked the detail and texture of yours. I'll keep trying. Certainly a process I have not heard of before, and am very glad to learn.
I really admire your image with its heightened detail and skin textures.

34 Nov 21 Comment I truly admire what you have done with the textures of your truck image. There is realism as well as super realism in the treatment. The only small issue for me is that the frog is HUGE against the size of the truck !!! Nov 15th
34 Nov 21 Comment Before I even read your explanation, I though the image very Turneresque! You have captured the suggestive atmospherics perfectly.
My suggestion for consideration is to darken the engine considerably to blend it into the mist and to match (pun!) the darkness of the train line cutting it is emerging from. I think you may be still attached to the model and subconsciously want it to stand out from the background, whereas your Turner inspiration source has obscured the engine more. (My head is in a motion blur from reading all the modifications you made to reach that end product!!!)

34 Nov 21 Comment Thank you Steve. Appreciate your feedback.
I don't have Topaz Mask AI. And thanks for the shortcut. I tried it - it just merged everything without preserving any layers. Maybe I didn't hold my mouth right...
