34 Jul 21 Comment I so love your idea, Gwen. But I feel that the composition is not telling the lovely story of your words. The three elements are entirely disconnected. I have taken the liberty of reorganising the elements and overlapping them quite a bit so that they are integrated. The layer with your dog was set to Soft Light at 100% so that he is dreaming within the clouds, and the clock was selected then placed on the layer beneath the dog, masked so that the face and the paw were around the clock. This layer is set to Lighten with 40% Opacity. Lastly, I used liquify to bring the right side paw so that it bent around to hold the clock. Jul 10th
34 Jul 21 Comment Your work on the background was effective. Agree with the others about the extreme brightness of the centre. I like that there is a spot of sunlight falling there, but I wondered how it might look with the rest of the scene darkened. So this is what happened. Jul 10th
34 Jul 21 Comment Makes me smile, what a wonderful idea. Your amended shadow improves. How about putting a puddle or wetness on the sand around the fish? Jul 10th
34 Jul 21 Comment And then swapped sides. Jul 10th
34 Jul 21 Comment What a spectacular job you have done with the abbey. I agree with others that the girl is too bright in comparison, and I like the version Georgianne has made. She still looks very new in comparison, but more integrated with the dim interior lighting.
I might also increase the scale of your dancer. At the moment, the abbey dominates. Should the dancer dominate? Depends on your intention, I guess.
Anyway, I had a play. I also gave the dancer a more greenish tint. Not sure that there is any improvement though.

34 Jul 21 Comment You know what, I adore the spiky textures of the flowers, but the scraped pastel look of the face didn't fit with the detailed rendering of the flowers for me. Jul 10th
