34 Jun 21 Comment OMG! That is so mystical and mysterious. I love your treatment, and thanks for sharing your method. When I grow up, I'd like to be able to do that too.

Love your work.

34 Jun 21 Comment What a great idea. I think I may have chosen a different composition, so that the guitars necks pointed to the hands of the piano player.

I did a quickie, without your blending expertise, just to show the idea. The hands are still most important, but the eye is guided back to the hands by the lines of the guitars.

34 Jun 21 Comment Surrealism is a wonderful art movement, and one that lends itself to photography post production. What you have done in emulating de Chirico is great fun, and well done.
Thanks for the detail on adding shadows. I had to learn that for one of my images, and I used this link to show how to make the shadows transparent (not what you wanted, as you said). https://youtu.be/ft5TP0taDJU

Only thing I might have done differently to you was to add perspective to the shadows by having them converge together slightly at their right end tips.

34 Jun 21 Comment The blue certainly dominates the image, Steve. The softly blurred flowers above her forehead and cheeks make me wonder how it would look if she was softly blurred too. Like, hiding in the flowers rather than dominating the image as she does here. I also wondered if her eyes might be blue.
Interesting that her eyes look as if she has a cold (a bit red). I believe it is a trick of the light with all of the rest of the image being blue and green. Nice work.

34 Jun 21 Comment The negative space of the muted water works well as a background to the highly textured feather. Lovely colour tones, and I like the diagonal of the feather in the composition. Feels etherial. Jun 19th
34 Jun 21 Reply Awwwh gee! Didn't you see the comets and stars on the cup? It's a magic cup!!! Hahahaha! Thanks for your kind words. Jun 8th
34 Jun 21 Reply Thanks Candy. With the cup - I wasn't trying for reality or authenticity. It's meant to be a joke! Jun 8th
34 Jun 21 Comment Funny you should think the cup is pasted in. It was in the original photo. Point taken about the pink bits though. Thanks. Jun 2nd
