34 Apr 21 Reply Thanks Steve. I was almost going to ask you for help with changing this image as my original concept was to have microphones, and ear phones and lots of antenna in the background of the image - trying to imply "surveillance". But I just don't have the skill to do the blending that I my imagination desires. So I gave up. Apr 9th
34 Apr 21 Reply Funny that you should say that people think of eyes when eating lychees. I have shown a few people the image, and every one of them asked me what on earth they were. Must be your Asian experience, I think ... Apr 9th
34 Apr 21 Reply Thanks Jan, I had considered toning down the red lid, but decided that it was the presence of the lid which really emphasised the captivity and container-ness of the bottle. I am glad you gave it a go though, because it confirms to me how important that strong red is to the image, in my opinion. Apr 9th
34 Apr 21 Comment Welcome Jan. Great start with this image. It is very decorative, and the repetition works well.
Like Jan and Steve, I find the dark bug/debris in the foreground leaves distracting. And I wonder about the bark texture in front of the leaves at the back. My impulse it to suggest that you apply a layer mask to roughly tone down that part of the texture - not completely, but in a ragged way so that it is still there, but less strongly in front of the leaves other than the two clusters at the front that are sharp.
Well imagined and executed.

34 Apr 21 Reply I think that draws more attention to the flowers, Steve. Apr 9th
34 Apr 21 Comment Hmmm! Needs a stroke line around the edge so where it stops would show against the black webpage, as I just suggested to Jan. Apr 5th
34 Apr 21 Comment Another graphic image - be still my beating heart. This image really does it for me too. The transition from sharp at the bottom to blurred at the top, and the subtle colour really draws attention to the complexity of the shape against the black background.

Minute suggestion - a mid grey stroke line around the outside because we can't see where the image stops and the black webpage begins.

Love your work.

34 Apr 21 Comment I think this image is AWESOME!!! I so love graphic images, and this one hits the mark for me. Great colours. Love the textures. And the repetition, three times with different intensity, really works.

Thanks for sharing how you did it. I'm going to have to give it a go now.

34 Apr 21 Comment Your images are always clever, Alan. This one is a hoot, with the fighters in their glasses like Siamese fighting fish. It's rather "Monty Pythonesque".
Clever work on the hands. Certainly improves the gesture of the wizard.
Only one tiny suggestion - I might have taken two different glass images, to improve the subterfuge of your creation.

34 Apr 21 Comment Steve, Your daffodils are glowing with good health and are very joyful. I find the effect of the outlines on the petals really helps their clarity and definition.
My only suggestion would be to tone the background down a little, as my eye keeps tracking away from the foreground to see what is happening out there.
