I will give that a try as I really like the composition of the original better than what I ended up with. I will follow your instructions!
Thanks, everyone for the comments. It always helps! |

What a great composition! You are inspiring me to do some set up and image work. I actually like your first image best and would only want a bit more space at the top to give the dried arrangement a bit more room. |

I think to do that I would have to return to St. Paul's in London! Not a bad thing but maybe another day. I was attempting to center on the spiral so lost a bit of the scene. I did take some landscape shots but they did not work as well as the vertical one. I also tried to get the spiral in the position so that you would see the "Golden Spiral" orientation in the image but because of the way I captured the image I was not able to have the space to place it in the correct position. |

I agree with you that I like the original but I really had a problem solving the blown out window on the left. I was enthralled with the colors I was able to bring out so did not really consider B&W. |

I LOVE it! Very much the gangster on the run kind of image. Tell me how you work with the reflected lights in the glasses. What do you do to change the type. I have a portrait where the studio lighting is reflected in the eyes and I did not know how to change that into a simple catch light. |

Wow! I just love it. You have done a great job with this one.I have had trouble capturing these guys. The movement is so fast. it looks like you chose a square crop and I think Piers suggestion of a bit more negative space would change the format to portrait which might be a stronger composition. |

I love the idea of giving the bird more space to move. I do feel that the wings and the reflection are the important part of the image. I admire your post processing work to create a lovely image. What settings did you use in Topaz for noise and sharpening. it seems from your settings that you would have had to customize the denoise. I have trouble in getting the right balance. Too much creates fuzzy images. |

Martin, I really like the edits you made but I think cropping out or at least taking the highlights down on the bottom would make it even better. The buildings are enough busy so that simplifying makes the moon jump out more. It is really lovely and a shot/perspective, Jim, you should return to and take a series to find the very best composition.
I have been submitting for this month several times to the incorrect email so hopefully you will see my shot soon!! I think I have submitted to Martin correctly now.
