I do not think I would be allowed to alter the color of the red sign on the boat although I will check that out. I always seem to have trouble with my images being darker than I would like because I keep the light on my computer screen high as my eyes are not as good as I might wish! I did work quite a bit with the colors of the bridge and the sky but I will go back to the drawing board to see what else can be done. Thank you both for your comments. I like the color one best as well but had some comments that I should consider B&W. |

This is a lovely image, Martin. What an absolutely fascinating place to be able to photograph! I think that the lighting contrasts create an interesting layered effect that separates fore, mid and backgrounds into a very stratified image. The colors work really well after your post processing work to lift the shadows. |

Congrats on your anniversary!! and such a wonderful guy to give you these beautiful flowers. My favorite part of the image is the lighting. I would love for you to explain what you used to create this lovely glow. The reflection of the vase on the table is a beautiful touch. I do agree that it would have been nice to mirror the vertical orientation of the vase with some floral addition to the height of the arrangement. However, Lovely image! |

I always like the way there is a sharp focus area and then some area that is not as sharp. For flower images I feel that it gives depth to the image. I also think you did a wonderful job with the background. I am happy that nothing is competing with the flower for attention!

I agree that having the image without the support column on the right would be great. I was wondering what this image might look like in B&W. you could work with the blue sliders to enhance the mid tones. I find that my eye travels right up to the "eyes" and it is quite an eerie feeling. Great shot! |
