I thought your framing was acutally a true frame at first glance. Nicely done to use what was there to point us in the true focus of your scene. The textures and the colors of the grasses are quite beautiful. It would be fun to experiment with just the grasses. |

You would not believe how much water I could bring back into frame. Most of the picture was water to begin with! |

I was going for a city panorama so the original was really attempting to give more focus on that far away. Hence the silhouetted effect. This idea of course did not work so I went to work on the bridge! |

Thank you for the comments. This is a bridge in Deleware, US. The city in the back ground is Wilmington, DE. This is close to where I live. BTW, the sky was not touched with any color adjustment. Mother Nature was just doing her thing! |

This has such great movement from the colors and the shapes. I would clone out the few spots that interrupt the flow of those things. There is a white spot top center and the brown spot on the left mid section. They do not add to the wonderful flow of color and shape. |

I think Piers suggestions are good ones. there is a great deal to look at here and I want something to pull me into the scene. I would crop in on the right and the bottom. Let the reflections onto center stage. You did a masterful job in LR! The colors look wonderful. Your original surprised me so good work! |

I love the B&W image the very best. The geometric shapes are what interest me most about the image and I found that the colors proved to be too much of a distraction because I really did not know where to focus. I could not decide what was the subject. In the monochrome the play of light really takes center stage and I love it!

What a great area to photograph. You can show us the other seasons anytime!
Just for interest sake, what would happen if you used a square crop making the water the entire bottom of the image. I played around with it and I liked what it did to deepen the perspective. Actually, you got a great shot here so no need to really do anything! |
