2 Nov 21 Reply I will try to clean up the background. I think that would make a huge difference. Thanks for the comments. I got so involved with the seed pod that I did not think about the background. Ridiculous, right? Nov 9th
2 Nov 21 Reply Those are all good suggestions, Shirley. A new pair of eyes always helps to see details that escape you when you work with an image for a while. I will give it a try and let you know how your suggestions work. I think they will be good ones! Nov 6th
2 Nov 21 Reply I think I like your crop a bit better than having it so centered. Both crops work well though! Nov 5th
2 Nov 21 Reply Hey, thanks! You are probably right about the tree but htought it would be interesting to try it! Nov 5th
2 Nov 21 Comment I keep focusing on the sunscreen on his nose! Only in Australia....
Colors, action, sharp focus on the athlete! Great shot. I would not change a thing!

2 Nov 21 Comment All of these comments are spot on. I think the only thing I would add is to try and take the tree on the right out of the photo entirely! That way what is important is the bridge and the refection. Nov 5th
2 Nov 21 Comment What fun! I agree with Martin's crop. It makes the image of the group more important than the lead horse on the left! It also frames you r subject so that you are immediately drawn into the place. Great experience for your group. Your club seems to have some very fun outings! Nov 5th
2 Nov 21 Comment This is a great action shot! I would crop it in even tighter and use the patch tool in photoshop to get rid of the building on the right. The focus of the image is those sails and the speed they are attaining which I believe that a tighter crop would accentuate. I agree with Shirley that perhaps less clouds and more blue in the sky might be worth a try.
Makes me want to go sailing! haven't done that for a while.

2 Nov 21 Comment Jim,
Beautiful shot! I would not do anything to it. I did think that perhaps another angle would be to crop the original so that the bottom left, showing the edge of the Aspen forest might be another photo to consider. this would change it to a horizontal orientation. I liked the idea of grounding the image and yet still keeping the contrast of green and yellow primary.
