2 Oct 21 Reply Thanks for the comments. I agree with you that Martin's crop really improves the image. I think I will hire him to post process my work!!! Oct 26th
2 Oct 21 Reply I love it that a few of you have said you like the tilt of the house! Now I am going to love it too! I do like to Topaz denoise. It really makes a difference when you are fighting getting the right settings and makes many pictures usable that otherwise would not be up to snuff. I think I can get better about submitting on time so that you will see my photos with everyone elses! Oct 23rd
2 Oct 21 Reply Stuart, explain to me the difference between Topaz Denoise AI and Topaz Sharpen AI. When I go to Topaz Studio I add the filter of AI and can do both. I am doing it wrong? Thank you for your comments. I told Martin, I always have trouble cropping to zero in on what is important. Oct 10th
2 Oct 21 Reply Cropping is my downfall! You are making me brave! Thanks so much for taking a look. Martin, making sure I only "include what contributes to the story" is well taken. Thank you for that reminder.

2 Oct 21 Comment This is truly a wonderful character! I love his demeanor and defiant attitude that comes through. Did you tell him how to sit or was this the character just coming out? Very good to remove all the distractions of the original plus darkening everything but the person and his weapon was an excellent choice. I love to photograph people but am always a bit shy about doing so. I envy you ability to get in there and just make it all happen! Oct 9th
2 Oct 21 Comment This looks like a really lovely place to problem solve in! Great scouting to find the waterfall. I have to say that both images are good and that the suggestions to change the brightness of the rockface is spot on.

I like the vertical orientation of the image the best. I think that this photograph leads the viewer into the image and down the stream to the pool of water at the bottom right. It makes me feel as if I can almost hear the water flowing and it adds an element of sound to your experience of the image.

2 Oct 21 Comment One of my favorite places. The colors are incredible! I agree with Shirley that I am curious if there is more at the top. Your photo is so pretty that I feel a bit incomplete and sorry I cannot see more of the towers!

This photo makes me want to go back right now. Great shot!

2 Oct 21 Comment I agree with all of the above. Cropping from the left would take away the halo on the trees and would also strengthen the composition be putting the house out of direct center. The tones you added really enhance the effect!Well done.

I would love to know why you used Silver Efex Pro to turn it into a B&W image. I am unfamiliar with that software. Why is it different from just doing that in Lightroom?

2 Oct 21 Comment This is terrific! I love the butterfly and am very unfamiliar with this one. I admire your abilities in post processing. the tilt was a brilliant idea. It really makes the image much more dramatic. I actually like the yellow of the flower full force. It is almost as if the yellow in the wing is reflecting the flowers strong coloring. That makes movement within the image which I like a great deal. Oct 9th
2 Oct 21 Comment This is so much fun for me to see. I was in Vermont this past week taking photographs of covered bridges of all things! This is a lovely work. I have one I took with the exact oppostie effect. The countryside on the far end of the bridge was not particularly interesting so I concentrated on exposing the construction within the bridge itself. Now I don't know what to do with the overexposed space at the opposite opening! You have mastered a great balance here between near and far. I found the interior ceiling of the bridge really fascinating. Did you try to capture that as a main focus in one of your photos? This one is quite lovely! Oct 9th
