Thanks for the nice comment! I so seldom mess around to this extent. It was fun to give it a try. |

Wow! I love what you did with the original. I especially love the colors of the mangroves in the foreground. It makes the tonal qualities of the Power Plant and sky become quite dramatic. I like the original best. I believe that flipping the image weakens the path through the image. |

This is just lovely! The reflection really captures your attention and the tones of the bridge make it pop right out at you. The addition of the clouds certainly improve the image as the original is quite flat. You have done a great job in manipulating the original to make a lovely image. |

This is such an interesting capture. I love the action of the march. Yes to the copping comments but really a fun photo! I would love it if the rifle on the left could have been totally visible rather than just a partial. That might not have been possible however. |

Love this, Shirley. The engine looks totally dramatic and really captures your attention. You are a master working in photoshop. Wish we were closer so that I could take a few lessons! I think I would like to see a bit more of the green tree at the top of the photo. To me it does not read as smoke and looks more like a greyed out part of the picture. I am sure with your skills you can do that! Great photo. |

I agree with Shirley! You are amazing with your editing work. I feel like there is a real separation between the bird and the sky. I am glad you added a more interesting sky but somehow the bird looks almost unreal and the sky is too real. I felt a slight mismatch. Maybe it would help if the sky was toned down so that the intensity of the colors was more in synch with the Osprey. I love to photograph the Osprey. We generally have a nest right in front of a small cottage on the Potomac River in VA. Makes for some good bird shots! |

What a fascinating building! I think you should go back and try lots of different angles just to see what you can bring out as the focal point. I liked what the texturing did to enhance the colors in the image. It became quite a bit more vibrant. Martin's idea about one car is great but maybe you should find a car enthusiast who has a beautiful antique one! Anyway, great shot! |

Martin, yu are totally correct about too tight a crop on the top.
I can easily fix that as there is lots of room in the original to add. Thanks so much for your comments. |

You might be right about the green stuff on the left. I tried to crop it out and for some reason decided that I liked it in the frame. I think it had more to do with the texture than anything else. I probably should have taken an individual photo of just the green! |

As I said in my post, I really like the original better! The effect is interesting at best. The original image was greatly improved when I was be to get rid of the brown area around the lily on the left. The flower popped more off the page. I did not include that iteration. I agree that the water droplets are a great aspect of the original.
Thanks for the comments. |
