Jim,
Thanks for your feedback!I will go back to the original to see if I have a vertical to add. Not sure that I do as my focus was totally on the noses, ever hopeful for food, attention or the hunt!!!
It was a great photo shoot with lots of dogs. I had fun. |

This is a really fun exercise! I have to admit that when I look at it, I get a little dizzy. It is rather disconcerting but I love how sharp and clear all parts of the photo are, which enhances the end result. You really cannot tell where one photo stops and the other starts. Interesting! |

The work you did on the sky really sets this photograph up. In the original the shot just does not capture me at all. However, with the work that you did all of a sudden things started to happen. Funny, when I first looked at the photo I did not catch the top roof edge lack fo grunge that Shirley caught. Now of course, I see it every time I look at the photo!! Sounds like this trip was great fun with interesting barns to capture. Good work! |

Very interesting photograph, Shirley. I agree with Piers that the view dividing vertically into thirds is a wonderful compositional aspect. I especially like what you did to the foreground grasses to increase the texture they bring to the whole. I have not done low light for a while and this is inspiring me to get out there! |

Wow! Looks really fierce and beautiful. My favorite is the color version. He looks like he is coming right out of the picture to get me. Nice capture! |

This tree is Fabulous! What character and sculpture it expresses. I agree with those that wanted more at the top. My first response was that I wanted to see what the tree looked like further up. It feels to me that you might consider loosing the grass of the foreground and adding on to the top of the tree. Guess that means you have to wait until next winter and go back to the same place at the same time for a different angle! You have done a great job with the sun as well. The colors of the photo are just lovely.

I agree with you about the eyes. It would have been much more effective if they were not so muted. I did think, however, that the noses were pretty expressive and makes the viewer smile! |

This was a really fun shoot. I got to follow the hunt as they rode out through the fields and got wonderful shots of the pack of hounds searching the woods for something to follow. I have enjoyed combining photography with writing and have done articles for several organizations for PR. Nothing huge but just fun to learn about different things. |
