thanks, Karen. I enjoy trying to photograph performances and it remains a work in progress. This image has lots of problems but the action captured makes you forgive a few issues! it seems I need to take a few lessons in photoshop to become adept with the tools you are telling me about. |

The eyes here are what captures me. I think I like the color version best but it seems to saturated to me. I would take out some of the color but just not all of it. It is almost as if she is about to say something and I like that. It makes me want to continue the conversation with her. |

Photographing birds is soooo hard. This is a nice shot. I wonder if it would be improved if you could blur out the background a bit more so that the bird pops out at you. I have a hard time figuring out how to select part of an image so that I can make adjustments so do not know if this would even be possible. I need to do some research on that technique. Possible just desaturating the background would do the trick. Nice capture! |

I think this is a great image. I would take out some of the left side by cropping in tight to the puddle of water. I agree with Shirley that i wish you had had the chance to photograph her from the front. Her face could tell a story too. |

Funny, I was so mesmerized by the vertical lines created by the boats and reflection that the branches did not inhibit my response to the photograph at all. Superb lighting for the capture and the crop is exactly what was needed. I love to photograph boats so this was great fun to see. |

I love how you were able to bring out detail in the tree trunk. It makes the image far more interesting and there is a tension between the detail of the near and the detail of the sunrise. This lures the viewer to walk into your image andreally be there with you. Love it! |

I have not calibrated my monitor for a while so will give it a try. However, as you might imagine these colors are quite true to the actual event. It was a circus and everything was so over saturated! As well it should be. If you ever get a chance to visit The Big Apple Circus even without children a an excuse, do so. It is the last circus in the country that performs under a Big Top and what fun! |

Never thought of the cloning the thigh. what a great solution!I agree about the lights and considered getting rid of them but then did not. Who knows why!
Your additions to the post process look great! |
