Love the action in this photo. The move to monochromatic was really great. It makes the action the most important part of the story here. Your new crop in response the Harry is exactly what I would suggest to make the photo more dramatic. Good work! |

I live close to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square PA which has a beautiful garden of these types of flower. Gorgeous! The angle of the flower and the textured background really make your bloom pop right out of the photo! Love it. |

AWWW one of my favorite subjects! This is a great photo. Just curious...what would hapen if you took out all the branching except the main one the bird is sitting on? I then might experiment with a textured back ground. Hard to think of an improvement to be made on this image though! |

Wow, love the change in the sky. It really made all the difference. That bright spot bothers me. My attention keeps going to it. I like more space on the left but would a graduated filter in Lightroom help to tone down the brightness on the left? Anyway, great photo and I have never heard of Luminar 4. Need to check that out! |

I second Shirley's comment. I would love some lessons on photo stacking. The effect on this photo take it from a pretty blossom to a 3D interpretation and I love it. I think I would like to see a bit of cropping on the bottom but it would be hard to improve on what you have here. |

It is so refreshing to see the photo with "new eyes." Your comments are spot on. Now all I have to do is go apply them!
Thanks. |

Thanks, Harry. I have trouble with controlling the brightness of my photographs. I seem always to make them on the darker side. Interestingly, I have been admonished by other photographers not to center the main focus of the image too much, considering the rule of thirds. That is why there is more background to the left. I will give a try for another crop and see how it rolls! Thanks for the feedback.
