I love light house photography. Traveling to Erie PA quite often, there are a few there that are fun to shoot. Being in the Great Lakes region myself, I can understand the difficulty of getting out for a specific shoot and having to rely on mother nature to cooperate. It can be a struggle. I agree that the sand is a bit distracting, yet fits with the image well. Maybe darken it a bit to pull the eye back towards the light house itself? |

I'm personally not a fan of overly "painterly" like photos. I feel that it takes away from the actual photographic essence of it. However, I can appreciate that others like it, and like to use it. |

I like this photo. It's a bit abstract yet you can tell what it is. The texture shows well and it flows almost in a golden ratio sort of way, which is always pleasing to the eye I think. Nicely done. |

I really like this shot quite a bit, though I like the edit that Mark did with it. That really makes the flower pop even more. I like the b&w showing the details of the flower so splendidly. |

This is a great photo! I agree about softening up the background, and possibly the fur as well. That way it would really pull the viewer into the facial expression. |

I love the butterflies themselves as well as the depth of field. Though I feel the blurring of the DOF at the foreground is a bit of a distraction and I'd like it more if the butterflies were closer to the bottom of the frame and straight across. |

Thanks everyone for your comments! I will definitely crop out the tree on the bottom left if I end up getting this printed or if I end up using the digital for anything. Thanks! |
