I really love the texture and the way that you played with the background. The flower itself is fantastic as well. I think the leaf down on the bottom left could be removed or perhaps blurred in even more to make the flower stand out even more. |

Your subject is great, and that's fantastic that he was willing to let you shoot him. I agree with Bruce that it seems the background is too busy and since his shirt is also, it's too much going on and taking away from the subject. My thought would be to go in and tone down the blacks in the background and tone down the contrast a bit. I'd also enhance the details in his face to make it really pop. |

I really love the main subject in this shot, the tree itself. I think the sky coloring is a bit too strong and might look better with a bit of haze or the contrast toned down. I'm glad you were able to get the people out of the image as that would have been a bit of a distraction from the tree. I too like that the horizon is split right in the middle. Especially with the main subject starting from the bottom and leading lines going to the larger portion of the tree. |

I really like the detail in the rock formations. Like Bruce, I too seem to focus more on the rocks over on the left side. I like the long exposure flow of the waves and water as well as the color of the waves as wells as the sky. |

Thanks Bruce! I kept looking at the bright color in the corner as well. I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it to kind of make the colors flow a bit or just crop it out all together. I have some other shots at a different angle but really liked the way the main flower came out in this one. |
