ah: it's not artifacting but the three-sided frame you added. For me it's a distraction: but if they purpose of the image is for use as a notecard or similar, adding the bottom portion to the frame would make it quite nice for that sort of thing. |

Lovely capture of the dew on the bud: I think you could crop in a bit tighter though and there is an odd artifacting around the edge of the image: I'm not sure if that was intentional or a result of your post work. |

Owls can be notoriously difficult to get good shots of and you did well with this one. To my eye though there is too much going on with all the background tree-clutter. Consider cropping in much tighter on the owl: perhaps to a portrait aspect ration to really direct the viewer to follow the owl's gaze down and across the image.

A good group shot but the horses in the upper left corner are a distraction. Try cropping in tighter to focus the viewer's eye on the subjects.

Nice post work to get in close and show off the petal details. On my monitor the focus looks a tiny bit fuzzy on the lower petals BUT that is probably partly due to the 1MB file size limit.

Pretty flowers but the background is distracting. An alternative for next time is to focus closely on just one bloom and see how much detail you can capture for the petals. Including other flowers in the background, especially with the angled petals could create interesting compositions. |
