52 Apr 22 Reply Giga is quite useful: I had better luck with images that were taken where the bottom wasn't so sandy: it seems to really punch the detail on the sand granules. Not sure how much I'll use it in the future since I probably won't be shooting non-RAW often, but the batch processing feature is pretty awesome. I picked it up as part of a suite offering and used it because JPG to RAW doesn't work on my hardware and their support suggested I use it instead. Apr 17th
52 Apr 22 Comment I see what you are going for with this image, but it's just not working for me. My eye wants more context or a story to justify that very large amount of blur. Technically, as a tool skill builder it's useful and you did well with your process. Apr 16th

Nice sharp focus on the head of the bee, but that falls off significantly after the abdomen (probably a result of the SS). Would be interesting to see the original version to see more of the original background and offer alternative crop ideas.

52 Apr 22 Comment Very nice capture, but like Mike, I'm not a fan of the B&W option for it. Because the lighting of the original is so flat, a lot of detail gets lost with the B&W. You might want to go back to the color, punch the contrast and saturation a bit and then elongate the crop (cutting more of the right/left out) and see what you get.

52 Apr 22 Comment Interesting capture, but I think this is a really hard image to make work. I'm on the fence re: the figures in the background., as there's too much distance between them and the branch in the foreground, but the branches alone aren't enough to carry the image. Apr 16th
52 Apr 22 Comment Nice shot: good clear focus and subjects are offering interesting behaviors. Some suggested extras to try to punch it up would be to flip it horizontally and perhaps reduce the crop amount and add a soft vignette.

52 Apr 22 Comment Nice portrait shot of such a sweet bird-face. I think the yellow's have been blown out in post though, and you did a great job getting the reflection, so maybe think about adjusting the crop to include a bit more of it. Apr 16th
