I like the abstract you created. Would be interesting to see what other options crops can give you with this especially if you flip the image.

Nice capture. If altering the distance between as others suggested them isn't your thing consider cropping to remove more of the sky. Also a gradient mask above and below to dampen down the sky might be interesting to see.

I'd mask the background and blur it while at the same time altering its levels: or unstack and just make the front orchids the subject as the ones in the back are obscured by a branch and there's no easy way to remove such an obstruction.

I actually the original comp more as the horizontal fallen tree adds some drama plus the branches in front help pull the eye in to the scene. Good post work to bring out the sharpness.

I agree with the others that the colors are a bit oversaturated. Overall I like the image but want a bit more drama: perhaps play with a bit of selective burning to add a bit of shadows to the backsides of the features? Also crop works well.

Interesting capture: kind of wish the DF's eye wasn't obscured by its wing. The dew drop is awesome but it really pulls my eye's focus away from the main subject. I would mask it down a bit so its not so bright. |
