Include the perch. I'm sooooo over just a bird in the middle of the frame sort of image. :) Image is nice and sharp, colours well balanced….my only suggestion is to crop out a bit more of the bottom and remove the three bottom-most leaves.

For me this is more of an abstract image and less a nature. I love the colors and only suggestion is you may want to play with even more in terms of which leaves are included and your crop.

Great image! I'm on the fence as well about cropping: but that's the great thing about digital photos: you can create multiple variants depending on how you feel on a given day. My one suggestion would be some selective lightning around the visible eye.

I like the colors and compositions, but the focus is a bit soft. If you have Topaz Sharpen AI you may want to push the image through that and see if more detail is recovered.

Overall I like the image, but the color of all the leaves is very bright and that coupled with the fiddly branches breaks my eye's flow. Perhaps a gradient mask top-down to darken some of the colors a bit?

Nice shot! I like the post work to bring in more warmth to the image. I also like Judith's flip idea. I kind of agree with Mike regarding the shadowy belly, but the grass stalks would make it a bit difficult. |
