I agree with what Mike says about the red flowers pulling focus: I'd go back to the original and crop vertically to include the yellow flower and then I'd actually clone the background to add a bit more vertical space.
Focus, light and colors are all great. |

Good composition and lovely work cropping to create several interest areas for my eye to travel.
Technically the sharpness on edges of the goose's neck and wing/tail feathers are problematic: I see a lot of mask artifacts especially around the primaries. A bit more finessing the masks might help remove these. |

Lovely colors and light: great job with post.
Compositionally I would love either more foreground or less. Seeing as the original is the same size/aspect as the posted image, cropping is the only option. The reason I suggest is this is to create a very subtle but strong mirroring between the grey of the mountain peeks and the grey of the visible tree trunks. (see attached)

Nice shot of a ruby in flight: good recovery of detail in post.
My only suggestion for improvement is to the composition: I'd go for a full square crop with slightly more negative space along the top to help create more story: as the birds eyes are looking up at something, so accentuate that in the composition. |

Good composition and colors: am I the only one that can't see the full image? See attached file. I've reloaded and tried other browsers and the bottom third is still truncated. |

I think as an exercise in working with tools the image is very interesting on a technical level. Good job keeping the details on the owl.
For me the composition centering completely on the owl is too tight as there is nowhere for my eye to travel and I find the inclusion of the sun a distraction mainly because of the color. -- would be super interesting to see this transformed to a night scene!
