A well though-out and constructed experiment, which, provides strong interest. The original image appears strong enough to stand alone; however, the seashell/sand vignette frames your subject. I did not find it distracting, rather familiar as I am a surf fisherman. The water/shoreline from foreground curving through image to horizon gives strength to your subject. Not sure if I would change the brightness - would have to see comparison, etc. If your title reflected "time of day/wx" etc., you would have some leeway for your point of view. Good work. |

Exceptional vista; the "S" curve takes me from front right through the middle to image's horizon. The mountain center left is well defined by shadows and snow lines. The portions of the image which are dark, with little texture, may be viewed somewhat as a negative, but I would not have displayed it differently. The sky/clouds add to this image.
I appreciate the image's strong composition and visual effect. Well done. |
