Thank you - I found the bright skies interesting because there is not the environmental pollutants that we see in cities, and that sometimes make beautiful sunsets. These were clear and crisp and inspiring. |

Thank you - it was a highlight of all my travels, over 60 years worth! The company outfitted us in drysuits; waterproof clothing that went from toes to the top of our neck, with rubber gaskets making wrists and neck secure and dry. All that was needed underneath were a layer or two of long underwear, as we worked up warmth by paddling. And just the act of wriggling into and out of the drysuits was warming in itself! |

It's so easy to move sliders and see the differences in results as you watch, and your choice then was perfect for the goals! So good to know, thank you! |

Thank you for these great suggestions; I too did not want it to look like what it was not. The suggestion to feather the skyline border is a good one and I will see if I am up to that skill. I do generally use a gradient mask and did that in this image in the first edits. As for losing the camera, mine is always looped around my neck or tied to my clothing, so if I lose the camera I have many more things to worry about! /z |

Gorgeous creatures, thank you! I wish only for a little bit more image at the bottom; perhaps to show the feet and/or the terrain they're walking in. Just for completeness and a feeling that they are not rooted in nothingness. The clarity of their heads and eyes is noteworthy and the lighting makes them almost glow. I'd love to see them 'in person'. |

Thank you for the detailed description of the origin of this image; it sounds like a fun experiment in creativity! This is an image that I'd not use "a little clarity and structure" for - when I first saw it, I thought of how interesting it would be with a little Gaussian blur in post-processing! I imagine I'd enjoy it in any of the many ways it can be captured. |

Did you alter the color or is it the original, aged metal that we see? Before I opened the "About the Image" I played a guessing game with myself as to what it was, and came nowhere close! It was fun to run through the possibilities; portholes, underwater features, and more! And the reality was best. |

The detail from this fisheye is amazing. The embellishments are clear and crisp and I can make out the print on the side sign! Did you do any architectural 'straightening' to make this possible? (That's probably an incorrect terminology but I don't know the best word to use). Thank you. |

I haven't been to the Palouse in such a long time I will likely not remember specific areas. Are they closed for environmental reasons? |

Good to see your capture of this chilly venue! This is a very good example of why people take images here; it's not just the falls but the stunning surroundings are suitable for creative images. I like the sky you used for replacement as it looks like it could be any similar day on the Palouse. Great DOF with very compelling color and texture to the whole thing. /zina |
