Thanks everyone for your comments. I have been researching ways of making a better selection around the trees and came across making a selection using Colour Range then refining the edge with the Refine Edge tool and finally bringing out more detail in the sky using a Curves adjustment. This is the result. |

Well spotted. When I isolated the sky to bring out more detail I should have included the centre of the cross because it was simply a steel skeleton. |

I like the enhancements that you have applied to the horse's head and part of its mane that we can see. They are very attractive and make it stand out beautifully. The addition of the texture also enhances the horse but I would remove the steel of the door frame completely. The colour of the textured area blends well with the horse but I find that the steel tubing is distracting. |

You don't say whether the background is one of your own pictures or one generated by AI. I will comment assuming it is your own image. The cutout of the girl's hat has not worked because the tip is missing and it has picked up some background above the peak. But that aside, I like what you have attempted. A friend of mine has won many competitions by adding different backgrounds to portraits and having tried, I find that it is not easy to make it convincing. Your image works quite well because the focus at the front of the background and the girl match and the picture is enhanced by the graduated blur of the background.

There are great images to be had on beaches and you have spotted an attractive area here. The strong line to the left of the image draws the eye into the top of the image which I quite like because of the subtle variety in the colours. I think the slight saturation in post processing has given some pop to the picture. A very pleasant image. |

The eyes of the bee are nicely in focus and the bee itself stands out well from the background. I wonder if a smaller aperture of say f11 or f15 would have brought more of the bee into focus which I think would be an improvement. With a macro lens the petals of the dahlia would still be diffused which helps to emphasize the bee. |

The semi circular form of the vines are nicely in focus but the image has nothing to hold my attention. |
