Welcome to the group Paul. I think you have achieved an attractive image and I really like the way the dancer stands out from the background. You caught the pose beautifully. I agree with Cindy that a full figure would be a better presentation but on the other hand the attractive facial expression would be less prominent in the image. It comes down to a matter of choice. A very enjoyable image and I look forward to your images in future. |

Thanks both for your comments. When I was going through the Hue range in Photoshop it produced many interesting combinations. I also looked at the black and white image which I like but the pink one gave a little yellow in the diagonal cables which added a bit extra I thought. |

A good colourful image that advertises the theatre lobby very well and I'm sure the theatre would want this image for their promotions. This is one of those images where we could make different suggestions depending on what the image is intended for. For an entry into a competition I agree with David's suggestion but to promote the theatre the vibrant colours and depth of field are the important factors. For me, based on this image, I would love to visit the theatre irrespective of what show was on. |

I really like what you have achieved here. You have converted a record shot into a very striking image and created a sombre mood. I like the light area at the top of the main building which draws the eye through the picture. The way you have enhanced the lamp at the bottom and added a reflection on the wall adds another dimension. I don't know if you could slightly separate the top of the left building from the sky without damaging the atmosphere but if you could that may be a small improvement but as an overall image it is great. |
