I agree with David and Charlie. The orchid really stands out after your post processing which has focussed our attention on the flower and also left it in context. |

I like the drama in this image with the violence of the wave and the comparative calm of the water beneath the structure. I think David's darker version is a better interpretation of the scene by bringing out more detail in the wave and generally adding to the drama. A very enjoyable shot that tells a good story. |

I am amazed that you ended up with a shot like this with the settings on your camera. I can't ever remember taking a shot at 20,000 ISO so I checked if my camera is capable of it. It is, so I learned something today. However it will only go to 1/8000th second. I agree with David about spacing and with Cindy about sharpness but that is because of the high ISO. You did very well with those settings and post production. |

I can see that the game was genuine with all the pieces in recognisable positions. I agree that the shadows are an attractive part of the image. Did you have any control over the height of the light source? If so, a little higher might have been better to slightly shorten the shadows but an enjoyable image nonetheless. |

As a photo I like your second offering where you have zoomed out and shown more of the face. It has certainly been a provocative image and generated a lot of interesting comments. Personally I find tattoos to this extent rather grotesque but it has produced a very colourful image. |

The HDR conversion has worked quite well to bring out detail and the people in the street add to the image. The converging verticals are too much for me. This level of convergence can work well with modern buildings where the lines are usually straighter but on older buildings where there is much more detail, eg verandas and other protrusions it does not work so well for me. |
