Once again your post processing has brought out more detail in the shot and made it pop, particularly the barn itself. I like David's crop because it eliminates the brown fields on the left which are a bit distracting. This is a very pleasant and tranquil scene. |

This is an action shot that tells a good story. I agree with Cindy's comments and with David's crop which makes the image much stronger and concentrates better on what the men are doing. Very enjoyable. |

I like this monochrome image and I think the portrait crop works because there is interest in the sky which adds to the shot for me. I would like to see a little more on the right side to complete that building which has been partially cut off. |

I like your second image and think it will do much better in your club competition than the first image you posted based on what judges currently go for in this area. It fulfils my criteria of being colourful and recognisable and I think the bird gives it a great deal more interest. Good luck. |

This is a very enjoyable scene and it is well spotted, particularly with the animal being lead over the bridge. I like Cindy's interpretation because the original looks a bit over-sharpened. |

My experiments with ICM have involved vertical or horizontal movements of the camera on a tripod or twisting the focal length ring on a zoom lens. I have never tried moving the whole camera as you appear to have done. My feelings about ICM are mixed. I like it better if I can identify the subject and there is good colour in the image. Many striking ICM images are taken in wooded areas, for instance, with vertical camera movement taking the trunks of trees but getting the colours of the surrounding foliage as well. Now that autumn/fall is here we might get some good colourful and identifiable images. |
