I think the crop that you have done has worked well because all the buoys are complete and you have concentrated on the strong part of the picture. I like the way you always get good texture in the images that you post in this group and that together with an increase in the saturation it has made the buoys pop out of the image. It would be difficult to remove the grasses so I think I would reduce the highlights in the central grasses to match the dullness of those on the left which would concentrate the eye on to the buoys. |

This is a very pleasant shot of the rose. F9 with a micro lens has provided a good depth of field on the flower with a slightly out of focus stem adding depth to the image. I agree with David that a border might improve the image but I would suggest a subtle border, I think white might be too harsh. |

Good piece of detective work if you chose top right !! Definitely not AI. On checking, I now remember that the train started in Chur and not Brig. |

Thanks David, suggestions accepted. What do you think? This was a grab shot as the train emerged from behind something or other which is why I could only get the front of the train in the shot. The removal of the overhead wires probably improves the shot but the reality is that they were providing the power for the train. |

You have produced an attractive minimalist image from a very ordinary original. I appreciate all the post processing that you have done and in the present climate, judges coming to our club would rate this very highly. I just wonder if a focus sack of 30 images was really necessary but it has certainly produced sharp focus on the centre of the orchid. |

A pleasant scene. I suspect that there is motion blur in the boat at 1/4 sec because everything else appears to be in focus. The brightness of the cliffs appears to be from lighting at the foot of the cliff, you can just make it out. I like the contrasting colours but the intense lighting on the cliff really draws the eye. |

Hi Bob, I was browsing through DD and came across your image. I thought I would see if I could make any improvements and came up with this. I cropped it a little from the left, top and bottom because I felt that all the interest was on the right and also to move the lighthouse towards the third. I like the complimentary colours of the lighthouse and the shoreline top right and also the diagonal of the water bottom left so that's how I arrived at my crop. What do you think? |
