45 Jul 23 Comment I like the sepia version. The window is a little burnt out in the other versions but irrespective of that the sepia version illustrates the grimness of the cell and tells a good story. Jul 9th
45 Jul 23 Comment A good colourful image. You can get some really good images from historical reconstructions and this illustrates it very nicely. A small point is that I don't think the original and the final picture are the same shot. The coachmen and the horses seem to be in different positions. Like David, I would clone out the two figures on the right. Jul 9th
45 Jul 23 Comment Tuscany is a popular venue for UK photographers and the images crop up in our competitions from time to time. This is a very pleasing image and I like the way that the two pieces of land in the mist balance each other. The distant hills provide plenty of depth. I agree with Phyllis that a little less of the bushes in the foreground would be an improvement. Jul 9th
45 Jul 23 Comment I think the final image is more impressive than the original. The building really pops and is well supported by the strong triangular framing provided by the foreground buildings. I assume your post processing also brought out the clouds and their reflections from the original image which are also impressive. Very enjoyable image. Jul 9th
45 Jul 23 Comment I agree with the others except that the orange/yellow lighting is very strong on my monitor and I would be tempted to desaturate the reds a little and the yellows a bit more. You found a great vantage point to take your image. Jul 9th
45 Jul 23 Reply Thanks David. I think your tighter crop works well, particularly because you left Teddy's shadow intact. Jul 8th
