This is another enjoyable image and I like David's interpretation. Personally, in addition to David's suggestion I might darken slightly the wall to the right to really focus on the door and the mystery inside. |

Thanks Cindy, you beat me to it. I was considering monochrome after I saw a presentation by a photographer who specialises in bold modern architecture. He isolates the various shapes and works on each bit to put his own interpretation on the whole image. I will try his approach and if it works I will post it here. |

All the fun of the fair. I agree with Cindy that removing the people to the right improves the image and leaves the magic number of five people. Great colours and a good story, everything you want in an image. |

This staircase is a photographer's dream and you have captured it beautifully. The colours are very complimentary and the steps draw the eye into the centre. The balustrade adds decoration to the stairwell and I agree with David about the spiral start being in the corner A very enjoyable image. |

Thanks David. I contacted the webmaster who said that your original comment disappeared probably because Cindy switched my images (to correctly show them) and you had commented on the images before the switch. |

This is a pleasant night shot but I find myself wandering around the image trying to find something to concentrate the eye. There is a colourful tower on the left with a couple of blocks of apartments and I think the image would be much improved if you concentrate on that area of the image. Commenting on the image as presented, I like the tree on the right which adds good depth to the picture. |

In my view, the final image is much stronger because you have converted what is basically a snapshot into a portrait. The man has a very interesting and rugged face. His face stands out in the final image because of the diffused background and his eye contact with the camera is great. I look at the two images and interpret the original as telling more of a story and the final image as a fine portrait. |
