This is another of your fascinating images of Taipei. I like the way you have the brightly lit road snaking its way through the image. I have been doing some long exposure work recently but I would not go as high as f32. I think the slight softness in the image is caused by the diffraction in the lens using such a high aperture. |

This is a picture of a UK Goldfinch taken on our bird feeder in the garden. |

A member of our camera club goes round old industrial sites and workshops and basically takes pictures of junk. He converts these images to black and white and I think this image is crying out to have the same treatment so I have had a go. You would not expect an aircraft in this state to be flying so I think the clouds in the portholes do not fit the image. The light source is behind you so I have darkened the portholes to take away their dominance in the image although I struggled to get rid of the clouds completely. What do you think? |

I agree with David that there is too much empty space and I think his interpretation is an improvement because it emphasizes the bullfrog which is the obvious subject of the image. On my monitor the bullfrog looks to be a little over-sharpened. There is good contrast in the colours of the bullfrog and the surrounding water. The petals in the water add interest. |

Beautiful clear image of the Goldfinch, the eye is pin sharp and the colours of the bird and the flowers contrast well. I also like the fact that the background is diffused but that you can identify that it is in a garden. It is interesting that Goldfinches in UK are very different to this bird, they are much more multi-coloured. |
