Thanks Bob. The Ludendorff bridge was to the right of this shot but only the brick supports on both sides of the Rhine remain. There is a fairly detailed account of the wartime events around the bridge on Wikipedia. |

Thanks Phyllis. I hope your daughter-in-law gave you a good briefing into the game of cricket. There are several forms of the game just to make it more difficult to understand and the cricket authorities keep coming up with changes to make it a more attractive spectacle and coloured clothing is one of them. Not long ago, everyone played in white. |

Thanks David. I am also pleased that we have members from around the world. It gives a great insight into other people's lives. My sister lives in Virginia but my only journeys in USA have been on the east coast so I enjoy images from the rest of the USA. |

I think the enhancements you have made to this image have really improved it. The cropping is good to remove the blue cladding at the top and the rivets lower down and the increased contrast has transformed the horse. It is beautifully framed and I agree with David and Phyllis about the colour combinations. I would have tried to darken the windows behind the horse which are a little distracting. Very enjoyable portrait of the horse. |

Wow, this image is a feast of bright colours and made me sit back at my computer screen. The tree is well placed in the scene and I like the textures in the rocks. There is a pleasant contrast between the purple at the top and the orange of the rocks. I think I might desaturate the colours a little because they are very strong on the monitors of my laptop and my PC. |

There are some beautiful colours in this image and I agree with David and Phyllis about the dancer's pose. It is a pity that you did not capture part of the dancer's right hand because the arm seems to be a stump. The dancer has a lovely expression on her face and the fingers are very elegant. |

This is a good architectural shot and the aeroplane identifies the building as an airport. I suspect that the colour of the aeroplane might have dominated the scene and converting to black and white was the best thing to do. There is a little bit of mystery in that I wonder what the two figures at the bottom of the scene are doing. I agree with David that some more contrast would improve the image but it is an enjoyable shot. |

I think you have got the camera settings spot on and the panning is excellent. The car is beautifully in focus and the blurred background and the blurred inner part of the wheels give a great impression of speed. Maybe a little more space in front of the car would be better but this is a terrific shot. |

I like the strong circle of the road and the way it emerges from the bottom right hand corner. I also enjoy the back lighting although I think I would have toned it down because it is very strong in the image and the best part of the image is the circle. I agree with David that a little more detail in the trees would be good and personally I would clone out the light branch on the left. |
