Thanks
I got lucky that as an amateur I was able to get in for a shot like this. Since it was a private concert , no problem. |

White can work, but I think it's too much for this. It's a very good image. |

I think the problem is the glacier itself is a strong enough image it draws the eye away from the eagle. It looks me a couple of second to find the bird. The black area, which looks like it could be piles of volcanic material also holds more attention than the eagle.-.

I like the flowers and the concept and it's a generally very good photo. I think it would be easier on the eye to darken the background. I think it detracts from the flowers which appear to be sharp and the color is really good.
I would crop up from the bottom to get rid of some of the bright stems. I would work on getting some of the yellow toned down in the stems and darken the green (stems, not leaves, though). I can't tell if some of the yellow jutting out from the stems are stems or not. Some of it almost looks like halos from over processing As with the background, I think the brightness takes away from the ver attractive flowers.
Depending on how those moves work with the overall picture, I would plan with darkening some of the smaller pansies petals. They don't have the dark centers so they are reflecting a lot of light for their size. I feel a little variety in brightness of the petals would help.
I think this photo is well worth the effort. |

Wow. Great composition. Focus sharp all around
I think you could easily dampen the white with a luminosity filter |

I'm not really the kind of person to start collecting lighting equipment and doing the kind of thing generally associated with making portraiture work. |
