It looks great, everything crisp, really interesting colors and lighting, at this size, but when I imported it into my software it started losing sharpness in a larger format both in the rafters and background. Everything has to be sharp for this to work so if you were blowing this up to show to friends, it would lose the effect. As long as you can show at this size, it works extremely well. |

Great in capturing the position of the bird and the wings are very sharp. The head looks soft on the left with loss of detail in that small crest. I don't know if playing with highlights or brightness on that area alone would help on the detail. Might have been time for a higher f-stop for the exposure and depth of field Birds with white patches are always tough if they have dark colors. Still a very interesting photo. |

I agree on repositioning the bowl. It might also help the bright spots on the two peppers in the back--especial the one on the right. The light seems to be coming in diagonally from the upper right. It would be better to have the light coming in from right center. I would experiment and if you have access to equipment that would change the direction of lighting that would be worth it. I also think repositioning would enable you to not take a less top-down shot and get one that includes more of the side of the bowl. It would also eliminate thise blown out areas on the peppers and the left edge of the bowl. That would provide more dimension. |

Pretty much the same comments about the sharpness and detail. I would crop from the right to help center the buffalo. That will also give you less of the tree to edit out. |
