I like your IR conversion as it makes your image "pop" out. I also agree with Henry's observation as I find the sky too overpowering. I made some adjustments by reducing the sky using crop tool. Then with Raya Pro, I selected the sky using Luminousity Mask and reduced the brightness by 15%. Finally, I increased the brightness of the boat with Viveza in Niks. |

This is an excellent monochrome image. The dynamic range and location of the brights, darks and midtones on the dunes create beautiful leading lines towards the main subjects. My only suggestion is that I find the sky a little bit tight. So I made this slight adjustments by increasing the sky and reducing the background. |

Many photographers would recommend spending not more than 30 minutes in post-processing which I totally disagree. You're very meticulous detail, able to produce the different shades of grey on your monochrone image surely did wonders on an otherwise ordinary photo. I also kept thousands of RAW images in storage in my hard drive, knowing that one day some of them may turn into gems like what you did in this decade old photo. |
